Halloween Costume

Harlequin was actually on my idea list before I went to  Illusions to browse and found all the fantastic accessories. From there, it was a massive shopping spree and a frantic search for the base pieces. Those I did find at DE Designs, where Doc has a set of beautifully shaded Harlequin costumes.

First the Sales

Long Awkward Pose is closing

1 day left for the 50% off

boing fromage is having a 50% off just because sale.

Next, it’s my turn for a break. RL is stressful right now and the “object not found in database” bug has bitten me too many times. I’ll log in once in a while and I do have a Halloween costume to show you guys but right now I have no interest in shopping, taking pics, processing or blogging. Sorry.

Back, I think….

RL has kept me so busy lately I barely know which end is up. And I have lost the Photo Credits that I had jotted down for this photo. From memory the dress if from Amaretto, hair Calla, hair jewelry is Eolande’s, and the skin is the new one from Blowpop. You can see more photos on the Flickr photostream. Snapshot_064

The hair is Mallos from Calla, my outfit is the Jade Collection which looks spectacular in the red velvet texture. My shoes are of course Shiny Things Ruffle boots. They look very victorian but I’m loving them with pants as regular ankle boots. And of course Earthtones Majik vial necklace. What is that inside? Fairy dust, a love potion, poison? I’m not telling.

Calla Anniversary Freebies

October 16, 2007 § 4 Comments

Last weekend was the 1 year anniversary celebration of Calla hair. After scooping up all the goodies I started playing with combos. Here’s my favorite.

This is Foxglove with the lovely jewelry made by Alienbear (love everything about it really), the jacket from Isolde (aren’t the cuffs adorable?), high-waisted pants from Persona (love the stripes) and shoes from Zhao (if you zoom in, you can see their calla lily emblem in the crest).

Yes, No, Maybe

Today’s items all have questions associated with them. Basically, I want your opinions.

From the top is the hair from Pixel Dolls.  The color hud concept is very exciting and the sculpty prims are expertly done but I miss the tiny detailed bits I’m used to with regular hair. I wonder if there’s a scripting issue.

Next is Nighttime Gems from Shiny Things. This is the first time Fally has done color change and as she notes, it makes for pieces too expensive for new or casual shoppers. On the one hand, I know my newbie friend couldn’t buy this, on the other I’m having a lot of fun with all the colors. My recommendation would be to see how well this sells (I expect very) and do something similar to either Earthtones with the less expensive set colors or Miriel with the inexpensive casual line to leave a hook for the newbie fashionistas. Anyone else have a clue?

And I’m wearing the StarleyII sweater dress by Last Call. After  my whining about having no neck I thought I should point out that I think this turtle actually looks really good on me. The belt on the other hand (a lovely sculpty) I can’t get to fit to save my life. What do you think? Should I leave it off and wear another?
