primOptic

I did a little happy dance when I saw that Nibb Tardis of primOptic had dropped some coupons for free glasses on me. They aren’t only well made but endlessly customizable with options for the color of both the frames and the glass as well as the transparency of the glass (btw 40% gets that look of actual glass in front of your eyes). There are also shiny and bling options and tons of “gadgets” or useful scripts like the one that lets you fly high.
It took a lot of agonizing to narrow down the possibilities but here are my final choices.
Celeste is just fun. It can be the flirty shades or the stereotypical librarian bookish glasses.
Lunie is soft and feminine. Perfect for sweeter looks.
Lynix are pure nerdery. And kind of cool that way.
Steam is for the next time I do steampunk.
Sofia may be my new regular style. I’m trying it for a while to see if I like it.
Mad Halloween
October 31, 2008 § 1 Comment
So I’m wandering around Grim Dolls, minding my own business and idly wondering what I’m going to be for Halloween when I find this hat and tights. Don’t ask me why the Mad Hatter came to mind but he did. I did some research and came across the steampunk Mad Hatter from the video game and a costume was born. Silent Sparrow supplied the dress. This review provided the blouse with the necessary bow. I found the man’s pocket watch at the Genesis booth at the Jewelry Expo. The eye came from Mayfair Aviation and the cane with puffs of steam floating out was made by Khjeph777 Enoch.

Punk Kitty

Just because it says Neko doesn’t mean it’s only for kitties. Neko Gear’s shirt looks just as good on humans. VG Republic has a pair of freebie jeans out that come with sculpty lower legs. Maitreya actually gave out this belt as a group gift. I would have totally have paid for it. The beretta is really well done but unfortunately there’s no way for me to tell where I got it. Even the creator slot is blank 😦 I’m wearing Tousled’s Sloane hair but I’ve modded it a bit.

PixelDolls Corset Belts
January 23, 2008 § 1 Comment
These belts are Neph’s response to a problem that has long plagued fashionistas. What do you do with that top that just doesn’t reach the top of your bottoms? While showing a little belly can be sexy it can also just look really trashy. These belts are just the thing to add style as well as cover and I hope she adds more designs to the line.
My shoes above and below are Maitreya, I’ve been waiting a long while for those glossy red pumps :->. My jewelry above is from Earthstones, a little place just starting with a shop on the Couture sim.
Nuit

I became an official Illusions fangirl when I went nuts for my Halloween costume. I couldn’t believe it when I saw this incredible mask in the forum that no else blogged it.
It’s called Nuit, French for night. There’s a companion Mask for men called Nacht, which is German for night.
Hair is difficult with these masks, anything covering your forehead has to be modded out but I’m sure you’ll agree the effect is well worth it.
Luth Brodie’s Rockabilly Pose Set

After recently staring at runway pose set from various creators for the last several weeks when I first took a look at the Rockabilly Pose it was fun, funky and refreshing. I thought I had photos from the entire set, but apparently SL isn’t always saving my photos. So you only get to see about half the set.
